Volvo signs global contract
Volvo Car Corporation has confirmed that it will continue to use end-to-end technology solutions from Cox Automotive to support its wholesale and retail processes for a further five years.
The global contract is effective across 25 countries, including key markets in EMEA, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and China.
As part of the agreement, Modix will provide the high-end platform that powers the Volvo Selekt programme, allowing consumers to search for approved used vehicles across its network of retailers. From a wholesale perspective, Volvo uses the RMS Automotive platform to support its fleet management and remarketing systems, right through from vehicle order to remarketing into the Volvo dealer network.
Darren Sinclair, Managing Director for Modix, said: “As a growing global brand, Volvo has set out a clear international strategy for its used car sales. The systems provided by Modix and RMS Automotive offer the Volvo retail network integrated tools to manage their used vehicle inventory and offer an exceptional experience to consumers searching for a used car.”
Sebastian Fuchs, Managing Director Manheim and RMS Automotive – Continental Europe, said: “We began working with Volvo in 2014 and I’m delighted to continue our partnership for a further five years. Our international platform facilitates the sale of around 40,000 Volvo used cars each year between the manufacturer and the franchised dealer network, streamlining the wholesale process.”
